The Helping Hand Called Isabiwork.ng
Establishing a business in Nigeria is tedious. A business is said to be established when it can run itself even when the owner is not there to oversee it. Factors readily abound that drown a business in the ocean of economic fiasco. The Nigerian situation is a peculiar one. Establishing a business in Nigeria requires that one puts into consideration the epileptic power supply that is bedeviling the nation, to start with, because chief among the hydra-headed challenges facing an average entrepreneur in Nigeria is total lack of power supply. Having said that, one should add that availability of human capital is a social gain that can translate into economic gains, no gainsaying that. Nonetheless, human capital in Nigeria has suffered a huge setback as it is sadly not matched with financial capital. What is the essence of availability of human capital without financial capital? It is like frying bean cakes without beans.
According to the report as published on Vanguard Newspaper by National Bureau of Statistics(NBS) in June,2017, the unemployment rate in the country rose from 13.9 per cent in the 3rd quarter to 14.2 per cent in the 4th quarter of 2016. Moreover, the report further has it that the period under review showed that the population of unemployed was 27.12 million in 3rd quarter, compared to 28.58 million persons in the 4th quarter. It said that this showed an increase in the number of unemployed labour force by 351,015 persons. This is an alarming situation. It’s produces a dismal effect on individuals who may be ab initio peace-loving, law-abiding citizens of the nation. It has consequently led to establishment of social vices and creation of interest groups and sectarian champions and corruption doctrinaires across the plateaus and valleys of the nation.
In the face of these economic woes which, by extension, has led to social, political and ethic woes, here comes a company which believes in the Nigerian dream. A company which believes that every average Nigerian has a relatively strong level of creativity. A good chunk of these young Nigerians also believe in unwavering integrity. In spite of the social vices created by the Nigerian situation, these young men/women still believe in Nigeria. This interestingly is what informed the establishment of the company I Sabi Work Nigeria Limited, to alleviate the sufferings, marginalization and discrimination of the sincere service provider(entrepreneur). I Sabi Work is poised to grant the voiceless service providers a voice. No more will an artisan/ small and medium scale enterprise owner be marginalized. Over 2000, and still counting, service providers have since registered on the platform Isabiwork.ng. This is an online (digital market) place where service providers can showcase their services to the full glare of the world. Furthermore, the tendency to register businesses in Nigeria, even though the current government has made it easier, still suffers great many setbacks. I Sabi Work however has helped many service providers to get their businesses registered. The problem of inaccessibility of financial capital has been resolved. Service providers at the I Sabi Work platform have been getting good jobs to their credits. Most of them especially the fashion designers have got good jobs. I Sabi Work in a nutshell is a community of service providers who have carved a niche through the platform for themselves eventually. I Sabi Work also enjoins other corporate bodies, NGOs, and governments at all levels to join in this humanitarian service in order to advance the economic gains as well as improve human capital development in the nation.
